We are targeting candidates who have specific domain knowledge with P&C Rules and Rating development.

The successful candidate will join our Rules & Rating Development team in a full-time development role.

The Location:

The team member will choose to work out of either our Toronto or Whitby office.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Configure new Product lines within ISI’s Enterprise application
  • Design, develop and test business rules for new product features and implementations
  • Analyze customer requirements
  • Diagnose and fix Rules and Rating Production defects as required
  • Communicate and liaise with clients to ensure features meet requirements
  • Work alongside the QA department to make sure the work you do is tested properly and thoroughly
  • Help define and build automated test scripts as part of your development process to run and execute on an iterative basis to ensure continuous quality
  • Work with the Director, Product to ensure that all system changes are aligned with the Product Vision and communicated to necessary stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance-related software development
  • Solid knowledge of P&C insurance industry workflows and concepts
  • Prior experience at an Insurance Company or at a vendor in the market of policy administration and related fields
  • Strong understanding of web application development principles and technologies (XML, HTML and JavaScript)
  • Experience with C# and Web Services would be an asset
  • Working knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL or MS SQL)
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

The Role:

ISI is seeking a driven individual with insurance and technology experience. You will join a dynamic and fast paced team where you will play a business analyst role on key accounts. Your role will combine your insurance expertise with business and systems analysis skills to manage the client relationship. Qualified candidates must have underwriting and claims administration experience. Travel will be required as part of the position, though trips are generally no more than 3 days and happen once every 2-3 months, per project. Travel is predominantly in Canada and the U.S, however, travel during the COVID-19 Pandemic is not required.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Implement (configure system, document requirements, present progress & support and train users) our flagship product, ISI Enterprise
  • Liaise with clients in a front-line support role, building a positive relationship and responding to communications in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate the content of production releases that incorporate insurance product updates (rating, rules, documents, forms and templates), base product enhancements and system issues

Qualifications:

  • Working towards or holding CIP designation preferred
  • Prior experience in implementation of package policy administration systems is considered an asset
