The Location:

Senior Rating and Rules Developer

Toronto ON, Canada


The Role:

Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) is seeking a dynamic individual with a broad skill set in analysis and development to join an exciting development team on an industry-leading web-based policy administration suite. We are targeting candidates who have specific domain knowledge with Property & Casualty Insurance and Rating and Rules development. Travel may be will be required as part of the position, though trips are generally no more than 3 days and happen once every 2-3 months, per project. Travel is predominantly in Canada and the U.S.

The successful candidate will join our Rating & Rules Development team in a full-time development role.

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Configure new Product lines within ISI’s Enterprise application
  • Design, develop and test business rules for new product features and implementations
  • Analyze customer requirements
  • Diagnose and fix Rules and Rating Production defects as required
  • Communicate and liaise with clients to ensure features meet requirements
  • Mentor developers
  • Work with the Development Team to continually refine our SDLC

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in insurance-related software development
  • Solid knowledge of P&C; insurance industry workflows and concepts
  • Prior experience at an Insurance Company or at a vendor in the market of policy administration and related fields
  • Strong understanding of web application development principles and technologies (XML, HTML and JavaScript)
  • Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL is an asset)
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Senior Developer - Finance

Project Coordinator

Toronto ON, Canada


The Role:

The Project Management Office at ISI plays an integral role in nearly all our company’s core operations including, but not limited, to client implementations and upgrades, product development as well as internal software development initiatives. We’re looking for an individual that will never say “that’s not my job!”. The ideal candidate is eager and willing to roll up their sleeves (figuratively) to get the project completed and delivered.

The Location:

The successful candidate will join our team in a full-time Project Coordinator in our Toronto office. Travel will be required as part of the position, though trips are generally no more than 3 days and happen once every 2-3 months, per project. Travel is predominantly in Canada and the U.S.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Run weekly status meetings, efficiently walking client and internal teams through the project’s activities since last status
  • Keep action logs and project plan up to date and organized
  • Draft detailed but succinct meeting minutes capturing key decisions and actions covered during the weekly status
  • Draft detailed Executive Status reports monthly for key Executive Stakeholders
  • Assist in monitoring project budget/finance against estimates and updating stakeholders on revised projections during Executive Status
  • Generate and review monthly invoice statements prior to client delivery ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Perform the role of Scrum Master on one of our agile development teams
  • Develop and contribute to our project management process and procedures

Qualifications:

 

  • 1-3 years experience in project coordination, project management, marketing management or related position
  • Completion of post-secondary education in business or related field

Associate Automated Test Developer

Skopje, Macedonia


The Role:

Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) is seeking a dynamic individual with a broad skill set in software development to join an exciting Agile Development team working QA Automation for an industry-leading web-based policy administration suite. In this role you will be tasked with designing and developing automated tests to validate the functionality and performance of our application.

The Location:

Successful candidate(s) will join our QA Automation Team in a full-time role in our Skopje, Macedonian office.

ISI has adopted a flexible working arrangement where our team members can choose to work either from home, the office or a hybrid of the two options. Our Skopje office is conveniently located in the heart of the city at Partizanski Odredi 15A, Unit 5.

Role Responsibilities:
  • As a member of our Automation Agile team you will be responsible for designing, building, updating test automation scripts using Selenium and other tools
  • Investigate test failures
  • Monitor and report product quality
  • Liaise with our Development and Business Teams to resolve test failures
  • Research new technology and patterns and present findings to team
  • Support Development and Client Service teams with various automation requests

Qualifications:
