The Role:

Insurance Systems Inc. is seeking a dynamic individual with a broad skill set in accounting to join a growing and profitable company. We are targeting candidates who have specific experience implementing and working with NetSuite in a multi-country environment. The successful candidate will report to our Chief Financial Officer.

The Location:

Candidates must be based in Toronto. Role is mostly remote, with attendance once a week at our headquarter office in Etobicoke. See here for more details.

Role Responsibilities:

• Own all accounting responsibilities including payroll, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly close, monthly tax payments and filings
• Collaborate with auditors on annual audit and with tax accountants on annual filings
• Immediately transition company from QuickBooks to NetSuite, leading the implementation and roll-out
• Support CFO with monthly reporting and financial planning
• Develop and rollout accounting policies
• Act as a change agent to modernize and streamline accounting processes

Qualifications:

• Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
• Experience implementing and working with NetSuite
• Minimum 7+ years of increasing accounting experience, ideally within the SaaS or professional services industry
• Cross-border experience working with US customers
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working in a team environment.
• Resourceful and driven; a true “self-starter”
• CPA designation preferred but not required
