The Role:

ISI is seeking a driven individual with insurance and technology experience. Qualified candidates must have claims administration experience and knowledge, with policy administration also preferred. You will join a dynamic and fast paced team where you will play a business analyst role on a key accounts. Your role will combine your insurance expertise with business and systems analysis skills to manage the client relationship. Travel will be required as part of the position, though trips are generally no more than 3 days and happen once every 2-3 months, per project. Travel is predominantly in Canada and the U.S.

The successful candidate will join our team in a full-time Senior Business Analyst role in our Toronto office.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Implement (configure system, document requirements, present progress & support and train users) our flagship product, ISI Enterprise
  • Liaise with client in a front-line support role, building a positive relationship and responding to communications in timely fashion
  • Coordinate the content of production releases that incorporate insurance product updates (rating, rules, documents, forms and templates), base product enhancements and system issues
  • Work closely with development team to ensure solutions satisfy client needs as well as balancing the tradeoffs between simplicity, usability, performance, and functionality
  • Test releases to client, mainly insurance product changes that are driven from rating and business rule updates, along with associated documents and forms
  • Gather requirements through a variety of methods including site visits and client meetings
  • Document both high level and detailed requirements in a manner that can be easily understood and transferred
  • Perform hands-on configuration work to setup the system
  • Develop and educate stakeholders on system and insurance best practices
  • Provide an appropriate level of knowledge transfer (internal and external) to ensure continued success for the customer
  • Ensure that deliverable updates are met based on the project plan with quality in a timely fashion
  • Challenge current processes both internally and externally and providing recommendations on how to improve
  • Contribute to core product enhancements
  • Create training materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Technology, or similar discipline
  • Prior experience at an Insurance Company or at a vendor in the market of policy administration and related fields
  • In depth exposure to P & C insurance
  • Working towards or holding CIP designation preferred
  • Prior experience in implementation of package policy administration systems is considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities while meeting client and company deadlines

The Role:

Insurance Systems Inc. (ISI) is seeking a dynamic individual with a broad skill set in software development to join an exciting Technology Team to support our Development Team and industry-leading web-based policy administration suite. In this role you’ll be tasked with driving improvements and innovation to ISI’s core infrastructure platforms that our Development team and Clients depend on. We are looking for someone that is interested in working on a variety of different projects ranging from enhancing our continuous integration and deployment platform, maintaining our automated testing frameworks, improving our tooling and securing our environment and application.

Successful candidate(s) will join our Technology Team in a full-time role in our Skopje, Macedonian office.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside Senior Architects to design an maintain core infrastructure services
  • Build and maintain Jenkins and Gradle Builds
  • Help automate Amazon Web Service (AWS) deployment
    • Investigate, research, and deploy AWS services/solutions across multiple regions
  • Build and maintain Selenium, Junit and NUnit frameworks and builds
  • Secure our Enterprise application by running Security Penetration tests
  • Secure our internal and AWS networks
  • Maintain and support JIRA customization and integration
  • Improve our development tooling
  • Support Development and Client Service teams with various automation requests
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field OR 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or equivalent position
  • Development experience in languages such as C#, Java, Groovy
  • Experience in developing of web application development principles and technologies (HTML & JavaScript)
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Strong understanding or experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, MS Build or Nuget
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration servers such as Jenkins
  • Overall understanding and hands-on experience with AWS or another Cloud platform
  • Experience with NodeJS and Micro-Services
